
DJ Mixer Mini-site
In cooperation with Taevas Oglivy, Versio2 developed an entertaining and interactive campaign for Limonaad. Limonaad, for the past 40 years, is one of the most popular soft drinks in Estonia. The mini-site design and Flash animations were prepared by Taevas and implemented by Versio2 together with a custom-built music editor.
Brief
The agency briefed Versio2 on the client objectives to stimulate sales and awareness targeting children and adolescents. The campaign revolved around a Flash music editor, which allowed web users to compose, layer and edit different music samples and loops for future sharing with friends. Save or share option became possible by inserting a unique code that could be found underneath the bottle cap. Top rated songs were awarded with prizes like iPods. The 5 week-long campaign was supported by television, print, outdoor and point-of-sale advertisng.
Solution
Versio2 had 5 weeks to deliver the mini-site in time for the launch of the integrated marketing campaign. Versio2 consulted with the advertising agency and within two weeks a prototype of the Flash music editor was prepared. Versio2 integrated the music editor, front-end designs supplied by the advertising agency with a back-end database system that supported several custom features including a rating system tied with unique codes. The Flash music editor was built in Flash Actionscript 3 with the mini-site implemented in XHTML, Ajax, Jscript with a database backend using MySQL and PHP.
